New and Existing Peer Support Programs

The following is a list of the Anxiety Disorders Association of Manitoba (ADAM) new and existing Peer Support Programs:

  • Cognitive Behavioural 10-week (Social and Panic) Programs for people with anxiety disorders. Participants must complete intake to register as these are only offered a few times per year. 
  • Group Peer Support for people with anxiety disorders: Mondays from 12:00 noon - 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm  - please note that on holiday Mondays the noon group will be cancelled and the 7:00 pm group may still occur - check our website calendar for more details. Participants do not have to register for these once their intake has been completed.
  • Individual Peer Support for people with anxiety disorders that may require support before, during, and/or after entering into a group session. Participants must complete intake and register with ADAM's Peer Support Coordinator (please see contact information below) for sessions.
  • Group Peer Support (Family and Friends) for supporters of individuals ages 13 and older with anxiety disorders: every other Thursday from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
  • Group Peer Support (Family and Friends) for supporters of individuals ages 12 and under with anxiety disorders: every other Wednesday from 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm, beginning October 23, 2019. 
  • Individual Peer Support (Family and Friends) for supporters of any individuals with anxiety disorders.

Please note that Family and Friends, Individual or Group Support Programs do not have to complete full intake but must attend a Public Information Seminar and register with ADAM's Peer Support Coordinator - tel: 204-925-0606 or email: peersupport@adam.mb.ca

ADAM's Peer Support Programs are provided by trained peer supporters with
lived experience with anxiety.  ADAM does not provide counselling or therapy services.
